What process is used to create the Pressogno Decaff range?

Pressogno Café Decaff uses the CO2 process, a method used to gently remove caffeine from coffee beans. Compressed to a liquid state, Carbon Dioxide - the compound we exhale with every breath - is a natural solvent which grabs caffeine and pulls it from the bean.

Because Carbon Dioxide adheres only to caffeine and not to the elements that give coffee its great flavour, CO2 decafs have more zing than any other naturally decaffeinated coffees.
The process has the advantage that it avoids the use of potentially harmfull substances.

Have you tried Decaff before? Did you know that consumption of decaffeinated coffee appears to be as beneficial as caffeine-containing coffee with regard to all-cause mortality, according to a large prospective cohort study?
